Mr. Dickinson is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at HCI Equity Partners and oversees the origination, management and development of the Firm's investments. Current portfolio companies that he is actively involved with include TDS Drive, Inc., Dynamic Systems, Inc., Power and Composite Technologies, Inc., and CertifiedSafety Inc. Mr. Dickinson joined the HCI team as a Managing Partner in 2001.
Mr. Dickinson also serves on the Board of Directors of Caterpillar, Inc. (NYSE: CAT).
Prior to joining HCI Equity Partners, Mr. Dickinson was the Co-Head of Global M&A at Merrill Lynch. He also had roles as Head of European M&A and Head of Global Manufacturing and Services M&A at Merrill and started his career in the M&A Group at The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse).
Mr. Dickinson also serves on the Executive Committee of the USOC Board of Directors of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation, as the President of the Board of Trustees of the Cove School (a K-12 school special education school), and on the Board of Directors for the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. Mr. Dickinson has both a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
